Bradley Martyn Diet

When Martyn was competing as a bodybuilder, he practiced intermittent fasting. This typically refers to a diet in which you fast for 16 hours a day, and eat for the remaining 8. For example, this could mean eating all your meals between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and fasting for the remaining hours of the day. Many nutrition experts and aging scientists see intermittent fasting as a way to promote healthy aging, life longevity, and to burn fat without losing muscle mass. Many famous athletes like Georges St-Pierre now practice intermittent fasting.

Martyn’s current approach is less stringent. He eats minimal carbs, and eats a lot of proteins and fats. However, when Martyn is in a muscle building phase, he bulks up on carbs to allow his muscles to recover more quickly and to gain energy.

Some of Martyn’s favorite foods include salmon, Greek yogurt, quinoa, and almond butter.

Martyn usually begins his days with an almond milk, whey protein, mixed berry, raw vegetable, and banana shake.

Some of his favorite proteins to eat are chicken, ground beef, and bison meat. Unlike many fitness experts, Martyn doesn’t worry about separating his egg whites from his egg yolks, and just eats the whole egg.

In terms of vegetables, Martyn meal preps, so he’ll eat a different veggie every week, for every day of the week.
