The Rock Diet
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson consumes an incredible more than 5,000 calories per day to build out his physique. He spreads these calories out over seven meals. The most striking aspect of Johnson’s diet is the significant amount of cod he eats. Specifically, Johnson eats a reported 2.3 pounds of cod per day. This is due to the high levels of protein in cod.
Aside from cod, Johnson eats a lot of eggs, chicken, steak, vegetables, and potatoes. This is the exact diet plan that Johnson used to get in shape for his role in the movie Hercules:
Meal 1: 10 oz filet (likely of cod) with 4 egg whites, 5 oz of oatmeal or Cream of Wheat (measured dry).
Meal 2: 8 oz of chicken with 2 cups of white rice, and 1 cup of broccoli.
Meal 3: 8 oz of halibut, with two cups of white rice, and one cup of asparagus.
Meal 4: 8 oz of chicken with 12 oz of baked potato, and 1 cup of broccoli.
Meal 5: 8 oz of halibut, with 1.5 cups of white rice, and 1 cup of asparagus.
Meal 6: 8 oz filet (likely of cod) with a 9oz baked potato, and salad.
Meal 7: 30 grams of casein protein, 10 egg whites scrambled with onions, peppers, and mushrooms.
